Yousaf Bin Zikria (SM’ 17)  is currently working as Senior Lecturer at Victorian Institute of Technology, Sydney, Australia. Previously, he worked as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Information and Communication Engineering, College of Engineering, Yeungnam University, Gyeongsan-Si, South Korea from 2018 to 2022. He received a Ph.D. from the Department of Information and Communication Engineering at Yeungnam University, Korea, in 2016. He has more than 10 years of experience in research, academia, and industry in the fields of Information and Communication Engineering and Computer science. He authored over 100 scientific peer-reviewed journals, magazines, conference papers, patents, and book chapters. His journal article's cumulative impact factor (IF) is over 500. He published papers at the top venues, including IEEE Communications, Surveys, and Tutorials, ACM Computing Surveys, IEEE Wireless Communications Magazine, IEEE Network, IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics, IEEE Transactions on Intelligent Transportation Systems, Elsevier Future Generation Computer Systems, Elsevier Sustainable Cities and Society, Elsevier Journal of Network and Computer Applications, Elsevier Cities, etc. He taught numerous computer science and engineering courses, from reinforcement learning to computer networks. 

His research interests include IoT, 5G, reinforcement learning, wireless communications and networks, opportunistic communications, wireless sensor networks, routing protocols, cognitive radio ad hoc networks, cognitive radio ad hoc sensor networks, transport protocols, VANETS, embedded systems, and information security.  He served or is currently serving as an associate/guest editor of served or serving guest editor for many SCI/E journals, including IEEE Communications Magazine. He chaired the workshop on AI for future IoT for the IWCMC 2019, was session chair for IEEE ICC’22, SAC-AC-4 (Communication and Networking for UAVs), and was a TPC member of core rank A IEEE conferences, including IEEE Globecom 2022, etc. Further, he reviews several top-ranked IEEE, ACM, Elsevier, Springer, etc, journals. He received the excellent paper award of the ICIDB 2016 Conference and a fully funded scholarship for a Master's and PhD. He has previously held the prestigious CISA, JNCIS-SEC, JNCIS-ER, JNCIA-ER, JNCIA-EX, and Advance Routing Switching and WAN Technologies certifications. He has been listed in the world's top 2% of researchers (2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024) published by Elsevier and Stanford University.
