If you want a specialized tool to rescue broken headphone plugs from children's devices, choose yboueo Headphone Plug Extraction; if you need a wireless bonding device for pregnant women and expectant mothers, choose Prnaiev Pregnancy Headphones. These two products serve entirely different purposes, and confusing them would be a mistake. One is a mechanical repair kit designed to fix hardware failures in 3.5mm jacks, while the other is a Bluetooth-enabled audio accessory meant to share music with a developing fetus. When searching for best kids headphones for children, you are likely looking for something that plays audio, not a tool to fix a broken jack. However, if your child has accidentally snapped an earbud plug inside their tablet or laptop, the yboueo solution is the only logical path forward. Conversely, if you are an expectant parent looking for a unique way to connect with your unborn baby through sound, the Prnaiev option offers a specialized design that standard headphones cannot match.
• yboueo Headphone Plug Extraction: Its biggest strength is providing a thin, stainless steel tube capable of reaching deep into 0.55-inch-deep jacks to grab broken plugs; its trade-off is that it is a single-use, non-audio tool that requires careful insertion and may not work on every specific breakage pattern. This pick is for anyone who needs to save a phone or laptop jack from being permanently unusable.
• Prnaiev Pregnancy Headphones: Its biggest strength is offering a soft, jellyfish-shaped Bluetooth 5.3 design with an impressive 40-hour battery life and low latency for safe, hands-free listening on a baby bump; its trade-off is that it lacks a traditional headphone jack and relies entirely on wireless connectivity. This pick is for expectant mothers seeking a gift or a method to play music directly to the womb starting at 20 weeks.
The yboueo Headphone Plug Extraction tool is a niche but essential item for households where children frequently use devices with 3.5mm auxiliary ports. The core function here is purely mechanical: removing a broken fragment that has become stuck inside the headphone jack. According to the product specifications, this tool features a wall thickness of just 0.1mm, which is necessary to fit into the tiny gap between the broken plug and the jack housing. The package includes 12 custom stainless metal tubes, ensuring you have backups if one becomes damaged during the extraction process.
This product is specifically designed for situations where a plastic or metal earbud tip has snapped off inside the port of a mobile phone, tablet, or laptop. The instructions emphasize that the tool must be inserted deep enough—specifically to reach the 0.55-inch depth of the hole—to effectively grab the broken piece. Once inserted, the user applies gentle downward pressure and then tightens the end of the steel tube with pliers or their hands to pull the debris out. It is a clever engineering solution for a frustrating problem that can otherwise render a device useless for wired audio.

The manufacturer notes that the gap between the earphone plug and the earphone hole is extremely small, and the tool is considered a single-use item. There is no guarantee that it will work for every type of breakage, as the angle and shape of the snapped plug vary. If the breakage is too specific or the plug is damaged in a way that prevents the thin tube from engaging, the tool may not succeed. Therefore, this product is ideal for those willing to read the instructions carefully and attempt a DIY fix before taking a device to a repair shop, but it is not a universal fix-all for all audio hardware issues.
The Prnaiev Pregnancy Headphones represent a completely different category of audio equipment, tailored specifically for expectant mothers rather than general consumers. Designed with a whimsical jellyfish theme, these headphones are intended to rest comfortably over the baby bump, allowing parents to share music, audiobooks, or soothing sounds directly with the fetus. The product description highlights that this experience can begin safely starting at 20 weeks of pregnancy. Unlike traditional over-ear headphones, this device uses an open-ear design that conforms to the curvature of the belly, creating a unique bonding opportunity without the discomfort of clamping ears together.
From a technical standpoint, this device leverages modern Bluetooth 5.3 technology to ensure a stable connection with smartphones running either iOS or Android. A standout feature for long-term use is the battery performance; the headphones offer an average battery life of 40 hours on a single charge, with a charging time of just one hour. This makes them practical for daily use without the anxiety of frequent recharging. Additionally, the low audio latency of 6 milliseconds ensures that music and voice messages remain synchronized, which is crucial for maintaining the rhythm of lullabies or storytelling sessions.
The packaging and included accessories suggest this product is often purchased as a gift. The kit comes with a retractable strap, 16 decorative stickers, a pink self-tightening storage bag, and a greeting card, making it ready for gifting right out of the box. The active noise cancellation feature helps isolate the sound, ensuring that the audio directed toward the womb is clear and undisturbed by external environmental noise. While it does not have a traditional headphone jack, relying instead on wireless connectivity, the smart touch controls and push-button media controls make it easy to manage playback without needing to constantly handle a phone. This product fits the needs of parents who want to create lasting memories and stimulate early development through sound.
• Best for fixing broken hardware → yboueo Headphone Plug Extraction: If a child has snapped an earbud plug inside a device, this is the only viable option to recover the jack.
• Best for prenatal bonding → Prnaiev Pregnancy Headphones: Only this product allows you to place audio drivers directly against a pregnant belly for shared listening experiences.
• Best for battery longevity → Prnaiev Pregnancy Headphones: With a 40-hour average battery life, it far exceeds any utility found in a simple extraction tool which has no power source.
• Best for durability of the tool itself → yboueo Headphone Plug Extraction: Made from stainless steel, the 12-pack provides a robust physical solution, whereas the Prnaiev headphones rely on plastic components and electronics.
• Best for wireless convenience → Prnaiev Pregnancy Headphones: Features Bluetooth 5.3 and a 10-meter range, eliminating wires entirely, while the yboueo tool requires manual handling and pliers.
• Best for safety volume control → Prnaiev Pregnancy Headphones: Specifically designed with safe volume levels suitable for a fetus, a consideration irrelevant to the metal extraction tool.
• Best for portability on the go → Prnaiev Pregnancy Headphones: Includes a compact carrying case (5cm x 3cm x 4.5cm) and a storage bag, whereas the yboueo tool is a set of loose tubes.
• Best value for a broken device → yboueo Headphone Plug Extraction: Prevents the need for costly repairs or buying new devices when a plug breaks, saving money in the long run.
In my opinion, if you are looking for a solution to help children deal with the aftermath of a broken headphone jack, the yboueo Headphone Plug Extraction is the superior choice because it solves a critical hardware failure that would otherwise require professional intervention. It is a practical, no-nonsense tool that saves devices from becoming obsolete. However, if your goal is to foster a connection with a growing baby through music, I recommend the Prnaiev Pregnancy Headphones for their thoughtful design, impressive battery life, and ability to turn a pregnancy into a shared auditory experience. These two items are not competitors; they are tools for vastly different problems, so the right choice depends entirely on whether you are repairing a gadget or celebrating a new life.
The tool is designed for all models of mobile phones, pads, and computers with 3.5mm jacks, but success depends on the specific nature of the breakage and the depth of the plug, as the manufacturer notes it cannot guarantee suitability for all cases.
Yes, the product information confirms that the Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity is compatible with both iOS and Android devices, allowing for seamless pairing regardless of the smartphone brand.
The yboueo package includes 12 stainless steel extraction tubes, but the instructions indicate that you may need to use pliers to tighten the end of the tube and pull out the broken plug if your hands alone are not sufficient.
