Overview

Building Online Resources with Google Sites

We've looked at how to write articles and how to arrange images to better convey a message — now we'll combine these two skills to develop a website.

As a website development tool, Google Sites is surprisingly simple — it's functionality is somewhat limited, but it offers a very quick and efficient means to build a professional webpage.  You don't need any experience with coding, but you also don't have complete freedom to drag and drop your materials just anywhere you want.  For this portion of the course, you'll need to work withing the constraints of the platform.  We'll cover these concepts in more detail during the Google Sites Section of the Yearbook Publishing Course.

During this part of ELA 9.3, you'll learn:

Session 3: Building Pages with Images and Embedded Video (Technology)

Session 4: Building a Library of External Resources (Research)
