Yassine Bakkar is Associate Professor of Finance at the Queen’s University Belfast. He is a research member at the Africagrowth Institute and a Research Fellow at the Economic Research Forum. He holds a PhD in Economics from the Université de Limoges (LAPE). He is a fellow of the Higher Education Academy in the UK.

His primary research areas are financial economics, empirical banking, quantitative macroeconomics and macro finance.
