Certificate: Humanizing the Digital Learning Micro-Program Certificate - The Humanizing Digital Learning certificate program at the University of Windsor is a micro-program designed to address the challenges and opportunities of using digital technologies in education. It acknowledges the potentially dehumanizing effects of technology—such as distraction, bias, and oversimplification—while also recognizing its power to connect and enhance learning. Grounded in current research and best practices, the program aims to reduce harm and promote more human-centered digital teaching. Participants begin with an introductory course and can then complete modules on accessibility, EDI, student engagement, assessment, ethics, and openness, culminating in a flexible capstone project.
