I am a PhD candidate in the European Doctorate in Law and Economics (EDLE), jointly affiliated with the University of Bologna, Erasmus University Rotterdam, and the University of Hamburg (2022–2026). I work under the supervision of Carmine Guerriero (https://sites.google.com/view/carmineguerrierohomepage/home-page) and Franziska Weber (https://www.eur.nl/en/people/franziska-weber). My research focuses on historical political economy and law & economics, examining how property rights regimes and kinship institutions evolve in response to frictions such as transaction costs, climate shocks, and political incentives, and how these institutional changes shape development outcomes. My earlier work includes projects on applied development and policy topics such as remittances and financial inclusion, trust, and the Belt and Road Initiative. I am also affiliated with the Origins Project: https://www.origins-project.com/home-page
