Hello! My name is Yash Sinha. I am 6th year PhD student at MIT linguistics, expecting to graduate in September 2025. I got my BA in linguistics at the University of Chicago in 2018. My research interests are in the domain of morphology, syntax and their interface. My dissertation focus on number morphology and plurals-of-politeness.
Outside theoretical linguistics, I am also interested in the history of the languages of South Asia.
I grew up moving between various cities in India. Besides Chicago and the Boston area, I've lived in Jamshedpur, Kolkata, Mumbai and Hyderabad.
