[Introduction: 0:00 - 1:00]
Yashpal:
Intro music fades in
Welcome, bonjour, and namaste to “Amazing India”, with your host Yashpal Rana. Today, I am glad to show you several of the pleasing places in India. Join me in revealing the geographical wheel and boat structures of the Republic of India starting from the wires of Delhi, our capital to the veins of a Houseboat in Kerala. India is a nation that is equally liberal towards theories and new changes. As I’ve said, every area is good in its sense, so below, I will be presenting some of the areas I became most interested at and the feelings I have on them. Are you prepared for this awesome experience? Let’s go!
[Section 1: Discovering Northern India: 1:01 - 3:00]
Track 1: Relatively happier Indian classical music.
Yashpal:
To begin with, let us move into the northern region of the India where the past and the future are identical. Delhi is the capital city which has the flavour of old-world charm with the added Flavors of modern era. All the entertaining and vigour of Chandni Chowk or the Old Delhi can be experienced while moving around, such as the aroma of pure food or the unceasing movement of the vendors. This is one of them, what is known as Red Fort, which portrays Mughal’s architecture. It made me recall the touching of the evening lighting with the acoustic program on history, something that was entertaining and impressive (Cesar & Cesar, 2023).

Indeed, Delhi is not only historical but has absolutely delicious meals as well. They cover street side vendors of Old Delhi selling chaats to posh restaurants of Connaught Place providing a good dining experience. Do you have a favourite dish, Yashpal?
Yashpal:
Absolutely! I once ate what can be described as the best butter chicken I have ever tasted at a restaurant within the neighbourhood. As to the taste, the richness screamed profanely delicious. Delhi people are very rich and diverse, and the same story is expressed by the delicious dishes that are prepared here.

As for tales, or as the young people of the world are fond of calling them, anecdotes, one does think of Agra’s Taj Mahal, does one not?
Yashpal:
Oh, definitely! One of the most romantic buildings of the world and the most famous complex of mausoleums is the Taj Mahal that was made by Shah Jahan to qualify his love to his wife Mumtaz Mahal. For me, to visit Taj Mahal means to go watching it early in the morning when the first light fells on it is really amazing. And it is impossible not to turn one’s attention to Agra Fort and Fatehpur Sikri – other masterpieces of the Mughal period (Li, 2018).

That sounds amazing! And what about Jaipur?
Yashpal:
Jaipur, the city referred to as the ‘Pink City’ in India’s Rajasthan state, is another example. Amber Fort has well carved architectural structure and large courtyards are evidence to the aristocracy of Rajputana style. Once, I watched a cultural programme at the fort wherever dancing and singing was performed based on the cultures of Rajasthan.
[Section 2: Southern India Serenity: 3:01 - 5:00]
Track 2: Popular Soft Melodies of Carnatic Music
Sound Cue: Cricket sounds that sing of the emerald water of Kerala backwaters.
Yashpal:
Now, let’s move to the southern region of India known as Kerala or ‘’God’s Own Country’’. The backwaters here are made up of attractive channels that give one the much-needed peace from the noisy world. Try to imagine yourself in Alleppey in a houseboat amid the greens? Such a day on a houseboat was great, just the noises of the water, and birds (Iris Holidays, 2024).
Guest: Akash
That sounds so peaceful! Were you able to watch any cultural dances in Kerela?
Yashpal:
I was privileged to watch a live Kathakali dance performance. The costumes and the makeup specially the different costumes of the characters were amazing. The cultural aspect of the people of Kerala is unique and quite colourful and this can be observed during the festival of Onam (O’Dwyer, 2014).
Guest: Akash
And the Western Ghats?
Yashpal:
Absolutely! The two hill stations are Munnar and Wayanad; they are situated in Kerala and can be characterized by a cooler climate, tea gardens, mountains and more. The trip to Wayanad, especially with the forest and wildlife is still something that I often recall with joy.
[Section 3: Eastern India Wonder: 5:01 – 7:00]
Track 3: Folk music of Bengal
Sound Cue: Street-side pictorial representation of Kolkata.
Yashpal:
Secondly, it’s time to navigate to Eastern India with the primary focus on Kolkata, the city of culture. Thus, on the occasion of Durga Puja the city gets filled with music, dancing and Beautifully decorated Goddess idols. Going from one pandal to another, walking, I was trying Bengali sweets like Rosogolla and Sandesh (Lahiri & Lahiri, 2022)
Guest: Akash
Kolkata sounds so vibrant! What about their historic value?
Yashpal:
Speaking of colonial architecture, Kolkata is rather diverse and has such gems as the Victoria Memorial. Automotive section has colourful and well-lit show rooms and a number of beautiful gardens and landscapes surrounding it. Some are old like Indian Museum, which contains artwork and sculptures as old as 2000 years. Some of the sectors that define the character of the city include bookshops, coffee shops and theatres; the city has an intellectual feel (Branfoot, 2022).
Guest: Akash
Now let us turn to our two joint cases of Assam and Sikkim.
Yashpal:
Assam is noted for the tea plantation area and Kazi Ranga, the national park known for one-horned rhinoceros. It is mandatory that you go for a wildlife safari there. In Sikkim Rumtek Monastery and Goechala trek is famous for watching Kanchenjunga. Gangtok is the capital of Sikkim; it is a beautiful small town nestled in the hills with/flourishing markets (Tours, n.d.)
