Aug. 1, 2022, Prof Yang is guest-editing with two other guest editors the collection of papers on Glasses and Amorphous Materials for Scientific Reports.
July 22, 2022, Prof Yang will give an invited talk on the "fabrication and characterization of low dimensional metals/ceramics for manufacturing of small-scale structures and devices" in the session of the international conference on green materials manufacturing and testing 2022, held by Hong Kong Metropolis University (HKMU).
July 12-15, 2022, Prof Yang will give a talk on the "Novel heterogeneous lattice strain strengthening in severely distorted crystalline solids " in the first international conference on heterostructured materials (HSM I). Prof. Yang is also a member of the local organization committee for the event.
June 25-July 02, 2022, 12th European Advanced Materials Congress is held in Genoa, Italy. Prof Yang will give an invited lecture on the "Abnormal Elasticity in Highly Distorted High Entropy Alloy" on June 26, 2022 from 17:40-18:00 Hong Kong time or 11:40-12:00 central european summer time.
June 26-28, 2022: IUTAM Symposium on Multiscale Architecting of Microstructures of Solids: Mechanics and Manufacturing will be held online by Institute of Mechanics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Prof. Yang will give an invited talk on "abnormal elasticity in highly distorted high entropy alloys" on June 28, 2022, from 14:00 to 14:30.
June 20 2022, Jingyang held his PhD thesis defense with the title Development of strong yet ductile chemically complex metallic films based on structural and chemical design at the nanoscale.

Due to Covid, the International Conference on Frontier Materials 2021 has been put off to Mar 28 to April 1, 2022, in Zhuhai, China. Update: due to the widespread of Omicron in mainland, the ICFM2022 has finally been rescheduled to May 29-30 2022, and all on-site presentations have been changed to an online mode. Tough time for all events host in mainland China!
