I am a fourth-year Ph.D. student at the School of Accountancy, Singapore Management University (SMU). I visited the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management from Jan 2026 to May 2026.
My research focuses on empirical financial accounting, with particular interests in political economy and corporate governance. My recent work uses LLMs to decompose three decades of shareholder proposals into argument structures — I show that proposal narratives are not boilerplate, have become increasingly polarized, and reveal a widening translation gap in which stakeholder concerns are repackaged in shareholder-value language as firms internalize externalities.
I hold a B.Sc (2020) in Mathematics from Zhejiang University, China. I joined SMU in 2022 and received the Presidential Doctoral Fellowship in 2025.
