I am an ecologist interested in the species interactions and their role in shaping the structure and dynamics of and communities.  I study how plant–plant, plant–animal, and plant–climate interact with disturbance regimes such as fire and biological invasions to influence community resilience.

 I integrate field studies, manipulative experiments, available data, mathematical modeling to understand the ecological causes and consequences of interactions in time and space.
