If you want a music-first earbud with Yamaha’s sound-focused features and IPX5 water resistance, choose Yamaha TW-E7B; if you need a flexible two-pair setup with low-latency gaming features and longer stated battery life, choose Avantalk Infinity. For mobile gaming, Infinity is the more purpose-built choice on paper, while Yamaha makes more sense if music listening, calls, and sweat resistance matter more.
• Yamaha TW-E7B’s biggest strength: Yamaha True Sound, active noise cancelling, and Listening Care; its main trade-off is a stated six-hour battery life.
• Avantalk Infinity’s biggest strength: two pairs of earbuds, low-latency audio features, app controls, and up to 48 hours of playtime with the case; its main trade-off is that Auracast sharing requires a compatible phone or transmitter.
• Yamaha is for listeners who want a music-centered feature set, clear-call technology, and IPX5 water and sweat resistance.
• Avantalk is for listeners who want a choice between in-ear noise cancelling and semi-open earbuds, plus a setup designed with gaming and shared listening in mind.
• My quick take: choose Yamaha for its listening and sport-oriented features; choose Avantalk for gaming flexibility and the longer stated total battery life.
Yamaha TW-E7B is the more music-focused option in this comparison. Yamaha True Sound is presented as a way to preserve detail and clarity, while its active noise cancelling is designed to reduce surrounding distractions. Advanced Listening Care adjusts loudness across the sound range at lower listening volumes, a feature that may appeal to someone who wants to listen more quietly without giving up the full-range character Yamaha describes.
It also brings practical features beyond music. The earbuds use Qualcomm cVc Clear Voice Capture for calls, and the IPX5 rating means they are described as water and sweat resistant. That gives Yamaha a clear use case for workouts or damp conditions. Bluetooth 5.2 and aptX Adaptive are listed, along with a stated average battery life of six hours. Five eartip sizes, from XS through XL, are included, which gives buyers several fit options.
I would consider Yamaha if I wanted earbuds mainly for music, calls, and exercise, and if its listening features mattered more to me than extended case-based battery life. I would skip it if my main priority were the longest stated playtime or a gaming-oriented feature set: the listed six-hour battery life is a notable limitation against Avantalk’s stated total of up to 48 hours with its case, and Yamaha’s sheet does not specify the same gaming and Auracast features.
How We Research
We compare products from their published specs and features; the verdicts below are our independent editorial opinions.
Avantalk Infinity is the more flexible package. It includes two pairs: Infinity NC earbuds with active noise cancelling and Infinity SO earbuds with a semi-open design. That gives the set a useful choice between a more enclosed listening option and a more open-feeling one, or the possibility of sharing a pair. The product information says two pairs can play at the same time when the phone supports Auracast; otherwise, an Auracast transmitter is needed for shared playback.
For mobile gaming, its advertised low-latency sync is the clearest distinction. The product information describes lip-synced audio for gaming, TV, and movies in both Auracast and classic Bluetooth modes, with LC3 and aptX Adaptive listed. The earbuds also offer active noise cancelling and a Transparency mode, plus app controls for EQ adjustment, finding nearby Auracast streams, and firmware updates. The stated playtime is up to 48 hours with the case, and the stated charge time is two hours.
Avantalk suits someone who values gaming sync, wants two listening styles in one package, or expects to use the earbuds for travel and shared TV listening. There is an important compatibility detail: Auracast features require a supported phone or transmitter, even though classic Bluetooth is described as working with phones, tablets, PCs, and TVs.
• Best fit for mobile gaming features: Avantalk Infinity. Its product information specifically describes low-latency sync for gaming, including in classic Bluetooth mode.
• Best for a longer stated playtime: Avantalk Infinity. It is listed for up to 48 hours with the case, compared with Yamaha’s stated six-hour average battery life.
• Best for music-focused listening features: Yamaha TW-E7B. Yamaha True Sound and Advanced Listening Care give it the more clearly music-centered feature set.
• Best for workouts or damp conditions: Yamaha TW-E7B. Its IPX5 water and sweat resistance is a concrete advantage; no water-resistance rating is supplied for Infinity.
• Best for choosing between noise cancelling and a semi-open design: Avantalk Infinity. It includes both Infinity NC and Infinity SO pairs.
• Best for calls based on listed call technology: Yamaha TW-E7B. Qualcomm cVc Clear Voice Capture is specifically included in its feature set.
• Best for Transparency mode: Avantalk Infinity. Transparency is named as a mode, alongside active noise cancelling.
• Best for shared listening: Avantalk Infinity, if your phone supports Auracast or you have a compatible transmitter. Without that support, the two-pair sharing feature is not plug-and-play.
• Best for varied eartip sizing: Yamaha TW-E7B. Its included tips cover five listed sizes, from XS to XL.
The phrase “anc clip on earbuds for mobile gaming” can describe a search for gaming earbuds with noise cancelling, but neither of these products is described as a clip-on design. Both are in-ear options. For gaming, the distinction is less about clip-on fit and more about the features each one actually lists: Infinity calls out low-latency sync, while Yamaha emphasizes its sound, listening-care, call, and sport features.
If you are searching for headphones for mobile gaming, Infinity has the more direct feature match because its product information explicitly includes low-latency gaming audio. That does not make Yamaha unsuitable for games; it means the supplied Yamaha details do not make the same specific sync claim. If keeping awareness of your surroundings matters, Infinity’s Transparency mode is the clearly named option. That makes it the relevant pick for someone searching for transparency mode in ear earbuds for mobile gaming, while Yamaha’s supplied feature list focuses on active noise cancelling rather than a named transparency mode.
The Auracast distinction deserves a little care. It can support broadcast listening and sharing, but it depends on compatible equipment. A buyer with a supported phone or transmitter can make more use of the two-pair setup; a buyer without one can still use classic Bluetooth, but should not assume Auracast sharing will work with every source. Yamaha’s listed features are simpler to compare: Bluetooth 5.2, aptX Adaptive, active noise cancelling, and Yamaha’s listening technologies.
For everyday use, think about where the trade-offs will matter. Yamaha’s stated six-hour battery life may be enough for shorter listening stretches, but it leaves less stated endurance than Infinity’s case-inclusive figure. Infinity, in turn, gives up a listed water-resistance advantage and adds a compatibility question for Auracast. Those are meaningful differences, not details to gloss over.
I would choose Avantalk Infinity for mobile gaming because low-latency sync is an explicit part of its feature set, and the two-pair design adds flexibility for shared listening or switching between noise cancelling and semi-open earbuds. Its up-to-48-hour stated playtime with the case is another practical advantage. I would choose Yamaha TW-E7B instead if music, calls, and IPX5 water resistance were my priorities. My recommendation is Infinity for gaming, with the clear caveat that Auracast sharing needs compatible equipment.
FAQ
No. Its product information says it works with classic Bluetooth audio sources such as phones, tablets, PCs, and TVs. Auracast is needed for Auracast broadcast features and sharing audio with both pairs, unless a compatible transmitter or supported phone provides that capability.
Avantalk Infinity is listed for up to 48 hours of playtime with the case, with a two-hour charge time. Yamaha TW-E7B lists an average battery life of six hours. These figures are presented differently, so consider that Infinity’s figure includes the case.
Yamaha TW-E7B is listed as IPX5 water and sweat resistant, making it the clearer choice for workouts or exposure to damp conditions. The supplied Avantalk Infinity information does not state a water-resistance rating, so I would not assume one.
