The siren appeared on Yamaha's 1955 advertisement. From the photo at right (circa 1959), the siren was in place by then. The building is the present-day site of Toho Cinemas.

Komiya was merged into Duck City, though the main store was sold in 1986. During its time, it was open from 10 AM to 6 PM.
