YALL is a platform for bold, independent documentary voices challenging mainstream narratives and media. We amplify stories addressing urgent issues of our time — human rights, injustice, colonization, apartheid, sports, music, and art through the power of non-fiction cinema.

Based in Canada’s capital, YALL exists where grassroots activism meets political decision-making, creating a unique space for dialogue, awareness, and social change. Beyond screenings, the festival connects filmmakers, audiences, and communities through conversation and collaboration.

Music documentaries are a central part of our vision. They serve as an important form of cultural and musical education often missing from schools and universities, preserving the heritage, movements, and voices of past decades that continue shaping society today.
