A Typical Week

Monday, Dinner

The Federalist Party dines together from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in the Silliman Dining Hall. We discuss current events, the week's YPU and Federalist debates, school, and life more generally.

Tuesday, Union Debate

Yale Political Union debates occur from 7:30 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. in Room 201 of William L. Harkness Hall, also known as the Sudler Recital Hall. The seven parties of the YPU meet for a debate, typically featuring a prominent guest speaker.

Thursday, Party Debate

Our Party debates from 8:15 p.m. until around 11:30 p.m. These debates are the highlight of the Party's week. We argue a resolution that divides the sentiments of the body, with members giving passionate speeches for both sides.

Friday, Lunch

The Party gathers at noon for a luncheon in the Silliman Dining Hall. This provides a way to unwind after a long week. We joke, discuss politics, and plan our weekend shenanigans.

Special Events

Throughout the weeks, Federalists like to come together for unique party-adjacent events to bond and spend time with their Federalist kin. These include anything from Ladies' teas, competitive basketball games, and away trips for The Game!
