Dr. Zhao received the Certificate of Excellence in Reviewing for Acta Materialia and Scripta Materialia in 2024 (21 Sep., 2025).
This marks a five-year consecutive recognitions with such honor from the Acta journal family.
Dr. Zhao was listed among the World’s Top 2% Scientists for a single year (2024) by Standmford University and Elsevier (19 Sep., 2025).
Although this metric-based ranking may not fully reflect the depth or breadth of one’s scientific contributions, it is still encouraging to be recognized.

Dr. Zhao attended The 8h International Conference on Electronic Materials and Nanotechnology for Green Environment (ENGE 2024) at Jeju, and visited Hanyang University at Seoul (24 Nov.–3 Dec., 2024). South Korea President Yoon Suk Yeol announced martial law right after the depature of Dr. Zhao's flight from Seoul. 😂
