I believe that mathematics is best learned through a balance of conceptual understanding and active problem solving. In my classes, I emphasize clear explanations, step-by-step reasoning, and opportunities for students to practice and discuss ideas. My goal is to build confidence while encouraging students to see mathematics as both logical and creative.
At the University of Maine, I am teaching Calculus I (MAT 126) and Calculus III (MAT 228). My teaching experience also includes serving as instructor of record for College Algebra and working as a teaching assistant for courses such as Calculus I, Differential Equations, and Multivariable Calculus at the University of Toledo.
Through my involvement in Directed Reading Program (DRP) Türkiye, I have mentored undergraduates in guided reading projects that culminate in research-style presentations. I enjoy helping students explore advanced topics, develop independent study skills, and prepare for future academic opportunities.
