I am a lecturer (assistant professor) in the Economics Department at the University of Haifa. The University is located on Mount Carmel in Haifa, Israel. My main research fields are Urban Economics, Applied Microeconomics and Political Economy.
My recent study on the effect of COVID-19 on residential rental leases is forthcoming at the Economic Journal. I have also published studies in the Journal of Urban Economics, the Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization and in the Journal of Policy Analysis and Management, which explore the political and economic effects of the rocket threat facing Israel.
I received my PhD from the Hebrew University in 2018. In 2018-2019 I was a Fulbright Post-Doctoral Fellow at Harvard University, and a Visiting Research Scholar at the National Bureau of Economic Research. In 2019-2021 I was a postdoctoral fellow at Tel Aviv University.
I have written and received several fellowships to support my training. These include Tel Aviv University Center for Combating Pandemics (2020-2021), Alrov Institute for Real Estate Research (2019-2021), Fulbright (2018-19), Hans Guth Dreyfus Fund (2017-18) and President's Doctoral Fellowship for Outstanding Ph.D. students at the Hebrew University (2014-18). I have also received research grants from the Maurice Falk Institute for Economic Research (2015-16, 2019-2020) and the Pinhas Sapir Economic Policy Forum (2014-15).
