Welcome to my webpage!

I am an assistant professor at the Economics Department, Universidad Javeriana Cali.  My research interests are Welfare and Poverty Measurement, Health Economics, and Regional Development. I obtained my PhD in Economics from the University of Essex, in the UK in 2016.  

I have worked for the Colombian government and many other different developing countries governments as a consultant hired by multilateral organizations such as the World Bank, the IADB, and the UNDP, on social protection, program evaluation, targeting tools, and poverty measurement topics.

Former Deputy Secretary of Socioeconomic Planning at the Planning Secretariat of Bogotá City, and member of the Colombian Experts' Committee on Monetary and Multidimensional Poverty Measurement.
