Blau Circle (“we” or “us” or “our”) respects the privacy of our users (“user” or “you”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our mobile application YachtsCare (the “Application”). Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE WITH THE TERMS OF THIS PRIVACY POLICY, PLEASE DO NOT ACCESS THE APPLICATION.
We reserve the right to make changes to this Privacy Policy at any time and for any reason. We will alert you about any changes by updating the “Last updated” date of this Privacy Policy. You are encouraged to periodically review this Privacy Policy to stay informed of updates. You will be deemed to have been made aware of, will be subject to, and will be deemed to have accepted the changes in any revised Privacy Policy by your continued use of the Application after the date such revised Privacy Policy is posted. This Privacy Policy does not apply to the third-party online/mobile store from which you install the Application or make payments which may also collect and use data about you. We are not responsible for any of the data collected by any such third party. This privacy policy was created using Termly.
COLLECTION OF YOUR INFORMATION
We do not automatically collect information about you. The information we may collect via the Application depends on the content you voluntarily upload to the cloud in the way of boat maintenance plans.
Personal and Geo-Location Data
We do not collect any personal or geo-location information.
Derivative Data
If you voluntarily upload to the cloud maintenance templates from your phone, the data will be transmitted and stored in Google Cloud servers. The data does not need to contain any personal information, no information about your device or your location is sent or store in the cloud. The Maintenance template is password protected with a six-digit number that will be unique to you for the life of the app. This passcode will remain the same for future uploads and for the life of the application. In order to retrieve your maintenance plan, you need to input this unique password and the name of the boat. This is a basic means of reserving your own personal place in the cloud, and to provide access only to those who know this unique passcode. It is not meant to protect the data from bad actors or from a user accidentally keying in the passcode assigned to your app. No representation is made that third parties with whom you have not shared the passcode may have access to your maintenance plans. Do not include any information in your maintenance plans you do not want to share unwillingly with others. Treat plans you upload to the cloud as public information.
Financial Data
All financial information, such as data related to your payment method (valid credit card number, card brand, expiration date, etc.) is handled by Apple Pay, completely outside of the application's control's. You are encouraged to review their privacy policy and contact them directly for responses to your questions.
Mobile Device Access
The application does not automatically access the mobile phone camera(s) or microphone. Any images stored in the application need to be already present in the phone.
Mobile Device Data
The application does not collect, transmit or otherwise handle in any way information about your device, such as your mobile device ID number, model, and manufacturer, version of your operating system, phone number, country or location.
Push Notifications
You may choose to receive notifications while managing your maintenance plan. These notifications will alert you when a maintenance activity is due, these notifications are not required for using the application and activating them are under your total control.
The application may send an automatic notification to inform you that an annual subscription is soon to expire. If you wish to opt-out from receiving these types of communications, you may turn them off in your device’s settings.
USE OF YOUR INFORMATION
Having some non-personal accurate information about your application usage permits us to provide you with a smooth, efficient, and customized experience. Specifically, we may use non-personal information collected to:
1. Compile anonymous statistical data and analysis for use internally or with third parties.
2. Create and manage your cloud account.
3. Monitor and analyze usage and trends to improve your experience with the Application.
4. Offer new products, services, mobile applications, and/or recommendations to you.
5. Notify you of updates to the Application.
Online Postings
The application does ot provide any means for you to post comments online.
We do not knowingly solicit information from or market to children under the age of 13. If you become aware of any data we have collected from children under age 13, please contact us using the contact information provided below.
CONTROLS FOR DO-NOT-TRACK FEATURES
Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems [and our mobile applications] include a Do-Not-Track (“DNT”) feature or setting you can activate to signal your privacy preference not to have data about your online browsing activities monitored and collected. No uniform technology standard for recognizing and implementing DNT signals has been finalized. As such, we do not currently respond to DNT browser signals or any other mechanism that automatically communicates your choice not to be tracked online. If a standard for online tracking is adopted that we must follow in the future, we will inform you about that practice in a revised version of this Privacy Policy.
