Hello. I am a doctoral student at Nara Institute of Science and Technology. 

My main research interests are:

• Natural language processing, particularly:

  • Educational applications (error correction, essay/speech scoring, etc.)

  • Readability

  • Lexical semantics (word sense, multiword expressions, etc.)

  • Natural language generation

  • Japanese language processing

• Computer-assisted language learning

I believe in the power of science and learning. They make complex phenomena understandable, hidden rules visible, and far-fetched goals achievable.
