Yuan Lab at SDU

We have 2-3 graduate studentships and 1-2 PhD studentships available each year. Our lab provides students with the interdisciplinary experience in the areas of environmental engineering and applied sciences.

Examples of projects available to new Masters or PhD students include:

Understanding mechanisms of nanoparticle toxicity at the molecular and whole organism levels
Identifying the dynamic surface forces between bubbles and microbes and bioaggregrations
Developing the instrument and control strategy for stabilization of anaerobic digestion
Exploring the biofilms and biodegradation of microplastics in freshwater and marine systems

PostDoc position available

Now, we have 2 PostDoc positions availabe on Environmental Nanotechnology and Anaerobic Biotechnology.

Environmental Nanotechnology: Understanding mechanisms of nanoparticle toxicity at the molecular and whole organism levels. With the experiences on nanomaterials synthesis or nanoparticle toxicity at different levels of biological organization.
Anaerobic Biotechnology: Identifying the dynamic surface forces between bubbles and microbes and bioaggregrations. With the experiences on AFM or dynamic intership of gas-solid.
