Otell Glenn, 96, of Chicago, IL, went home on February 26, 2019. He was born to parents William Glenn and Mary Jane Glenn, on December 3, 1922 in Comer, Georgia. He graduated from Tilden High School (Chicago, IL) in 1937.

Otell worked as in various departments as a United States Postal employee for 30+ years. After his 30+ years of service, He retired from United States Postal Service with many accolades & accommodations.

He enjoyed artistry, tap dancing, playing instruments such as the violin and clarinet. He also enjoyed meeting new people, movies, the casino & spicy, Southern food, especially fried green tomatoes. He loved his pet Fidora Witz (dog). Just to name a couple, Otell was honored with awards from Mayor Washington and Mayor Daley.

Otell met the loves of his life, Minnie Glenn (1st wife) & Ila Dean Glenn (2nd wife), for which he loved both immensely. They were married in Chicago, IL and did not bear any children, but loved their nieces and nephews as their own.

He was preceded in death by parents, William & Mary Jane Glenn; spouses, Wilma & Ila Dean Glenn; brother, Rotell Glenn Sr.; sister, Susie Lois Thomas; sister, Utheree Rodgers; niece, Sue Ellen Glenn; and nephew, Eugene Thomas.

Otell is survived by sister, Velma Jones; niece, Vera Thomas; nephew, Rotell Glenn Jr.; niece, Rochelle Glenn-Pickett; and host of cousins, great-nieces/nephews, friends and loved ones.
