Has anyone else seen the masterclass for release 131? To me, this is not just "a new structure" but a completely different class. Bodystep, for me, was a fun cardio interval class that really got your heart rate up to fun pop music without being overly fatiguing. The new "structure" did away with basically all the previous choreo and replaced it with 1-2 moves per track. Also, the emphasis on the "functional"/strength aspect now makes it more like a circuit training. I really HATE this trend. If I wanna do weights, I'm gonna use weights/machines. But on my cardio days, I wanna do cardio, NOT BOTH. Step was a great opportunity for that. It's gone now. Also, it speaks volumes that Lisa Osborne is no longer credited as the creative director. I'm very disappointed :(
The weekend consisted of the usual things that go on at module training; intros, masterclass, learning about the program, choreo, technique, scripting, getting intimate with the music and track presentations. The one thing I really liked especially about the scripting component is that our trainer layered it on. So the first time we presented we just had to use layer 1 cues, the second time we had to add our layer 2 cues, and the third time we had learned how to incorporate some layer 3.

The day began by chatting with the instructor about our goals to achieve from the training and what to expect for track presentations today. Soon after it was time for a masterclass where members of the home gym were allowed to have their first taste of the program that would soon grace their gym. While some completed the 45minute version of class we were required to continue with the 55 minute version.
From the moment the music started, we were immersed in new releases, new moves, new innovations, learning opportunities from master trainers and the chance to catch our breath during the breaks between sessions and socialize with each other. Even though the turnaround times were tight, most of the classes took place on the basketball court in the same room all day, which made it very convenient. Overall, I think the location and facilities were just perfect for this type of event. 3df8ca78c1
