The University of Urbino is one of the most ancient universities in Europe, founded in 1506, and located in the wonderful Renaissance city of Urbino.

Every year it hosts the International Summer School in Philosophy of Physics, which brings to Urbino the best young stundents in philosophy of physics to learn from the foremost experts in the field.

How to reach Urbino

By Airplane

Bus service is available from the airport to Ancona (or Falconara Marittima) train station. For info see here.

Once you reach Ancona (or Falconara Marittima) train station, you have to purchase a ticket to Pesaro. You can either purchase train tickets online using the official website of Trenitalia or directly at the train station ticket office.

Once you reach Pesaro train station, you have to take a bus to Urbino. The bus schedule is available here.

You have to get off the bus at “Urbino parcheggio Santa Lucia”.

There is a bus service called Adriabus that connects Roma Tiburtina train station in Rome to Urbino. For info see here.

By Train

The nearest train station is Pesaro. You can either purchase train tickets online using the official website of Trenitalia or directly at the train station ticket office.

Once you reach Pesaro train station, you will have to take a bus to Urbino. The bus schedule is available here.

By Car

Coming from the south: Exit highway A14 at “Fano”, then follow “Urbino”.

Coming from the north: Exit highway A14 at “Pesaro e Urbino”, then follow “Urbino”.

Once in Urbino, follow directions for “Parcheggio Santa Lucia”.

How to Reach Palazzo Albani

Once you are at “Parcheggio Santa Lucia” you have to take 2 elevators to Porta Santa Lucia.

Once you enter Urbino from Porta Santa Lucia you will find Palazzo Albani at approximately 100 mt. on your right-hand side.
