I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Management Science at the Miami Herbert Business School, University of Miami. Before joining Miami, I was an Assistant Professor in the Herbert Wertheim College of Engineering at the University of Florida from 2019 to 2023. I received my Ph.D. in Operations Research from Columbia University, where I had the privilege of studying under Professor Ward Whitt.
My research integrates applied probability, optimization, and data-driven decision-making to model and control stochastic systems. I study problems in call center operations, smart manufacturing, dynamic pricing, and energy systems, where uncertainty and congestion interact in complex ways. I develop online algorithms for sequential and adaptive decision-making that are simple, practically implementable, and provably near-optimal for guiding real-time operational decisions. My work has appeared in leading journals in operations research and management science.
I was a finalist in the INFORMS Finance Section Best Student Paper Competition, received the Outstanding Ph.D. Student Mentorship Recognition from the University of Miami, and was a recipient of a Travel Award from the Institute for Mathematics and its Applications (IMA).
