I am a Ph.D. candidate in Finance at the University of Kansas. My first name is pronounced [Sh-you-n].
My research interests lie at the intersection of corporate and household finance, with a primary focus on how corporate payouts affect real economic outcomes. I am also broadly interested in empirical corporate finance topics, including payout policy, insider trading, corporate investment, and debt financing. 
I am on the finance job market during the 2025-2026 academic year.
