Xun Gong is an Associate Professor at the Jilin University, School of Artificial Intelligence. He was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor from August 2016 to October 2018, where he worked under supervision of Prof. Ilya Kolmanovsky (IEEE Fellow) and Prof. Jing Sun (IEEE Fellow). He received his Ph.D. in Control Theory and Control Engineering from Jilin University, China, in 2016, where he served as a graduate research assistant at State Key Lab of Automotive Control and Simulation (2010-2016). His Ph.D. advisor was Prof. Hong Chen. He was a joint Ph.D. student at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, where he was co-advised by Prof. Ilya Kolmanvosky. He received the B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Northeast Electric Power University in 2010. Dr. Gong is an active member of CAA technical committee on Vehicle Control and Intelligence. He is the author of over 40 peer-reviewed journal and conference papers in the broader area of control, optimization, and automotive systems.
