This project focuses on sound design for a central district of Shenzhen, known for its historical significance during China's economic reform and its unique cultural blend, which includes a diverse community of children, elderly residents, and tourists.
This project proposed using GPS-based soundscape navigation to design for cultural accessibility. The soundscape navigation system aims at using sound design to introduce the cultural and historical contexts of Yuanling Subdistrict to foreign athletes, who will reside in the same area during Paralympics.
