I am an Assistant Professor of Finance (tenured) at SBE Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam . I am also a Macro Lecturer at Tinbergen Institute. As of January 2024, I have been appointed as Research Fellow at Tinbergen Institute.
In the fall term of 2023 I was a Visiting Assistant Professor of Economics at the University of Warwick.
I obtained my PhD (D.Phil) in Financial Economics from the University of Oxford, Saïd Business School in 2020. Before my PhD, I obtained MPhil in Economics with Distinction from the Department of Economics, University of Oxford and worked as a full-time economist at the Bank of England.
Research interests: international/macro-finance, money-liquidity and default, financial intermediation, sustainable macro-finance
Teaching: Macroeconomics with Financial Frictions (PhD/MPhil level), Tinbergen Institute, (2021- ) ; International Financial Management, VU Amsterdam, (2020-) .
At the VU and TI, I supervise PhD, MPhil, and MSc students.
I am also a co-organiser of the Tinbergen Macro Seminar Series since September 2021.
