The Peruvian Computer Society (Sociedad Peruana de Computación - SPC) was founded as a non-profit organization in the city of Arequipa, Peru on August 25, 2001. Its objectives are:
- Encourage teaching, research and development activities related to Computer Science in Peru.
- Disseminate through academically legitimate channels (meetings, congresses, conferences and publications) knowledge, information and opinions related to computer science.
- Encourage the spirit of research and technological development in the area of computing in the country.
