If you want a unique, screen-enabled open-ear experience that lets you monitor your battery and time without touching your phone while working remotely, choose Xmenha Touch Screen TWS; if you need active noise cancellation to block out a noisy home office and prefer a traditional in-ear seal for focus, choose RadioShack TWS Earbuds.
• Xmenha Touch Screen TWS: Its standout feature is the smart display on the charging case that controls sound modes and tracks battery life directly from the box, but its open-ear design means it offers no isolation from background noise.
• RadioShack TWS Earbuds: These deliver true immersion with Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) and a secure in-ear fit, yet they lack the interactive case interface and rely entirely on your phone for settings.
• Best for: The Xmenha is for remote workers who value situational awareness and novelty, while the RadioShack is for those who need deep focus in distracting environments.
The Xmenha Touch Screen TWS stands out immediately because of its charging case, which features an actual touch screen. This isn't just a gimmick; it transforms how you interact with your audio device during a workday. You can adjust volume, switch sound effects modes, check the precise battery levels of both the buds and the case, and even set alarms or view the time directly from the case. For someone doing remote work, this means you can glance at your desk, tap the case, and verify your power status or mute notifications without ever unlocking your laptop or pulling out your smartphone.
The physical design takes a different approach than standard earbuds. These are open-ear headphones that sit outside the ear canal, constructed from premium soft silicone to ensure a lightweight and painless fit. They are specifically engineered for small ear canals, using an ergonomic surround and streamlined sinking design to keep them stable during movement. If you wear earbuds all day for long video conferences or while multitasking, the open design prevents the "plugged up" feeling that often leads to fatigue. The sweatproof construction ensures they stay put whether you are jumping between tasks or taking a quick walk outside, making them a solid choice for active remote professionals.

However, this form factor comes with a specific trade-off regarding sound isolation. Because these are open-ear devices, they do not physically block external sounds. While they utilize patented acoustic cavity technology to reduce sound leakage so your privacy is protected, you will still hear the world around you. This makes them ideal if you need to hear a family member calling you or want to remain aware of your surroundings while working, but they are not suitable if you need to drown out a barking dog or a busy street. The 5-hour playtime per charge, combined with the 30-hour total capacity from the case, provides ample energy for a full work session, but the lack of ANC is the defining limitation of this product.
The RadioShack TWS Earbuds are built for the environment where silence is essential. They feature Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), a technology that actively blocks out unwanted background noise to create an immersive listening experience. This is a critical distinction for anyone trying to maintain concentration in a shared living space or a chaotic household. By using an in-ear bud design, these earbuds create a physical seal in the ear canal, which works in tandem with the ANC to suppress distractions effectively. If your remote work requires deep focus on complex spreadsheets, coding, or reading dense documents, the ability to shut out the world is invaluable.
Under the hood, these earbuds utilize a Balanced Armature Driver, which typically offers crisp, detailed audio reproduction across the frequency range. The Bluetooth 5.4 chipset ensures instant pairing and a stable connection with a transmission distance of about 10 meters, allowing you to move freely around your workspace without signal dropouts. The control scheme relies on touch inputs, giving you direct access to manage calls and music without fumbling with a device. The IPX5 waterproof rating adds a layer of durability, protecting the electronics from sweat and rain, which is useful if you take calls while walking or working outdoors.
The trade-off here is the loss of situational awareness and the absence of the interactive case found on competitors. You cannot see your battery percentage or adjust settings on the charging case itself; you must rely on your connected phone for all information and configuration. Furthermore, the in-ear design, while great for isolation, can feel intrusive over very long periods for some users compared to the open style of the Xmenha.
• Best for situational awareness → Xmenha Touch Screen TWS: The open-ear design keeps you connected to your environment, perfect for parents or those who need to hear their surroundings while working.
• Best for blocking distractions → RadioShack TWS Earbuds: The Active Noise Cancellation and in-ear seal provide the quietude necessary for intense focus and confidential calls.
• Best for tech-forward interaction → Xmenha Touch Screen TWS: The charging case includes a touch screen to control volume, check battery, and set alarms without a phone.
• Best for audio detail and isolation → RadioShack TWS Earbuds: The Balanced Armature Driver and ANC deliver a more immersive, private listening experience.
• Best for small ear comfort → Xmenha Touch Screen TWS: Specifically marketed for small ear canals with a lightweight, soft silicone open-ear clip.
• Best for stability during movement → Both: Both feature robust designs for sports, though Xmenha focuses on open-ear stability and RadioShack on the in-ear seal.
• Best for battery visibility → Xmenha Touch Screen TWS: You can inspect battery levels directly on the case screen.
• Best for call clarity in noise → RadioShack TWS Earbuds: The combination of ANC and in-ear sealing helps isolate your voice better in loud environments.
I would buy the RadioShack TWS Earbuds for my primary remote work setup. While the Xmenha's smart case is undeniably cool, the reality of working from home often involves unpredictable noise—neighbors, pets, or traffic—that I cannot ignore. The Active Noise Cancellation on the RadioShack model is a functional necessity rather than a luxury; it allows me to enter a flow state that is impossible with open-ear headphones. The Balanced Armature Driver also promises the audio fidelity I need for clear communication and media consumption. For a professional setting where focus is paramount, the traditional in-ear design with ANC wins out over the novelty of a screen on the case.
The Xmenha is designed as a clip-on open-ear headphone, which fits the description of a rotatable or flexible clip design for remote work comfort, whereas the RadioShack uses a standard in-ear bud shape.
No, the Xmenha Touch Screen TWS does not have Active Noise Cancellation; it relies on an open-ear design for situational awareness, while the RadioShack explicitly features ANC technology.
No, the RadioShack TWS Earbuds require you to use your phone or touch controls on the earbuds themselves, whereas the Xmenha allows volume and mode adjustments directly via the case's touch screen.
