If you want a fun, feature-rich Bluetooth headset designed specifically for children to wear all day at school or on long trips, choose Xmenha Cat Ear Headphones; if you need a compact travel adapter to turn your existing AirPods or wired headphones into wireless ones for a flight, choose Loccess Airplane. These two products solve completely different problems, and picking the wrong one means you end up with gear that doesn't fit your child's needs or your travel routine.
• Xmenha Cat Ear Headphones: The biggest strength is its dedicated kid-centric design with 20-hour battery life and active noise cancellation; the trade-off is that it is an on-ear headset rather than a portable adapter. This pick is for parents looking for the best bluetooth headband headphones for children who need entertainment during long car rides or flights.
• Loccess Airplane: The biggest strength is its dual-mode versatility (transmitter and receiver) that works with any existing earbuds; the trade-off is that it offers no audio source itself and lacks a built-in microphone or volume controls for kids. This pick is for travelers who already own high-quality headphones and just need a dongle to connect them to airplane seatback screens.
The Xmenha Cat Ear Headphones are built from the ground up to be a companion for growing children. The design features a cute cat theme with light purple coloring and rounded tips, making it visually appealing to young girls while ensuring comfort for on-ear use. With a dynamic driver frequency range of 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz, it delivers clear audio that can help stimulate music appreciation and language skills, which are crucial developmental areas for kids. The active noise cancellation feature is particularly valuable for parents trying to keep their children focused in noisy environments like airplanes, classrooms, or busy living rooms.
Battery performance is where this device truly shines for family travel. The internal 400mAh battery supports about 20 hours of playtime with the lights on, or even longer with them off, meaning you rarely need to worry about charging before a long trip. A full charge takes only 2.5 hours via a modern USB-C port, which is faster and more convenient than older micro-USB models. The Bluetooth 5.3 technology ensures a stable connection up to 15 meters away, giving kids freedom to move around without dropping the signal.
This product is ideal for parents seeking the best gaming headset for children or those who simply want to ensure their child has a safe, engaging way to watch movies or listen to stories without being tethered to a screen. The touch media controls make it easy for small hands to manage playback. However, if you are looking for a device that fits over-the-ear cups for maximum isolation or a budget-friendly option for a single short flight, this might be overkill. It is also worth noting that the item weight is very light at 18.14 grams, but the plastic enclosure is designed for durability rather than premium audiophile materials. If your child is under three years old, this product is not recommended based on the age range description.

The Loccess Airplane unit is a functional tool for travelers who prioritize convenience and compatibility over a new set of headphones. Its primary purpose is to act as a bridge between older analog audio systems and modern wireless devices. By supporting both transmitter and receiver modes, it allows users to pair their favorite AirPods or other Bluetooth headphones with non-Bluetooth sources like airplane seatback screens, car AUX ports, or gym equipment. The automatic on/off feature adds a layer of simplicity, ensuring the battery isn't drained when the device isn't in use.
Because it is a dongle rather than a standalone headset, the experience relies entirely on the quality of the headphones you already own. If you have a pair of expensive noise-canceling earbuds, this adapter lets you enjoy them on a plane where the TV system only offers a standard 3.5mm jack. The stereo audio output mode ensures that whatever sound comes through your headphones remains high fidelity. The white color scheme is neutral and professional, fitting seamlessly into a travel kit alongside chargers and cables.
This product is perfect for frequent flyers who refuse to compromise on their preferred audio gear. It is also excellent for parents who already own a great pair of headphones and don't want to buy a second, cheaper pair just for travel. However, it is not suitable for anyone looking for a complete solution. It does not come with a battery pack for the headphones themselves, nor does it offer any volume control or media buttons directly on the adapter. If you need a device that includes a microphone for calls or a built-in speaker, this adapter will not work for you. It is strictly a connectivity tool, not an audio player.

• Best for existing gear owners → Loccess Airplane: If you already have quality wireless headphones, this saves you from buying a duplicate set.
• Best for active noise cancellation → Xmenha Cat Ear Headphones: The built-in ANC helps block out engine noise and crying babies, creating a quiet zone for the child.
• Best for versatility → Loccess Airplane: The 2-in-1 transmitter/receiver capability means it works with TVs, cars, speakers, and planes alike.
• Best for visual appeal and engagement → Xmenha Cat Ear Headphones: The cat ears and light-up features make it a toy-like accessory that kids actually want to wear.
• Best for portability and size → Loccess Airplane: As a small dongle, it takes up negligible space in a carry-on bag compared to a full headset.
• Best for independent listening → Xmenha Cat Ear Headphones: Kids can listen to their own content without needing to share a screen or device.
• Best for cost efficiency per function → Loccess Airplane: If you already own headphones, buying this adapter is significantly cheaper than buying a whole new headset.
In my opinion, for most families, the Xmenha Cat Ear Headphones is the superior choice because it provides a complete, self-contained experience tailored specifically for children. While the Loccess Airplane is a clever piece of engineering for tech-savvy adults who hate carrying extra cables, it leaves the critical variable of "which headphones" up to the buyer. For a child, having a dedicated device with long battery life, safety-focused volume limits, and features that encourage imagination is far more valuable than an adapter. I would buy the Xmenha Cat Ear Headphones for my own child to ensure they have a reliable, fun, and safe way to stay entertained during long journeys.
Yes, the Xmenha Cat Ear Headphones offer up to 20 hours of battery life with lights on, which is sufficient for almost any international flight without needing to stop for a charge.
Absolutely, the Loccess Airplane functions as a transmitter to send audio from a 3.5mm source to any Bluetooth headphone or earbud you already own.
The manufacturer specifies an age range description of Kid, generally implying suitability for children exceeding three years old due to the small parts and battery requirements.
