If you want crystal clear calls and deep immersion for long workouts with active noise cancellation, choose Xmenha BT048S; if you need real-time language translation and a compact form factor for travel or business, choose Rulbovs NE72. These two devices serve fundamentally different masters: one is a fortress of audio isolation designed for the gym and daily commute, while the other is a portable communication hub built to break down language barriers on the go. You are not just choosing between two headphones; you are choosing between a dedicated exercise companion that prioritizes sound quality and battery endurance, or a multifunctional translator earbud that prioritizes versatility and connectivity in foreign environments.
• Xmenha BT048S: Offers industry-leading -54dB noise reduction and 50 hours of playtime but lacks the compact portability of true wireless earbuds. Best for serious athletes and commuters who need silence.
• Rulbovs NE72: Features real-time AI translation across 165 languages and a unique touch screen case, but sacrifices deep bass and has a shorter single-charge life. Best for travelers and global professionals.
• The Verdict: Pick the Xmenha for pure audio performance and endurance; pick the Rulbovs for functional utility and conversation assistance.
The Xmenha BT048S is engineered for the user who treats their audio experience as a primary component of their daily routine, specifically those who spend significant time moving their bodies during exercise. The defining feature here is the over-ear design paired with an Active Noise Cancellation system rated at -54dB. This is not a marginal improvement; it is a benchmark-level reduction that creates a quiet bubble around your head. When you are trying to maintain focus during a high-intensity interval session or a long run, this level of isolation blocks out the chaotic hum of a crowded gym or the roar of city traffic. The plastic enclosure is designed to be low-profile yet durable, ensuring that the device stays secure and comfortable even when you are sweating through a workout.
Battery life is where this device truly separates itself from the competition. With a claimed average life of 50 hours, the BT048S eliminates the anxiety of running out of power mid-workout. You can charge it once every week or two, rather than worrying about plugging it in after every few sessions. The Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity ensures a stable transmission distance of about 10 meters, meaning your phone can stay in your locker or pocket without causing audio dropouts. The inclusion of a 3.5mm jack adds a layer of reliability for wired connections, though the wireless range is robust enough for most scenarios.

However, this product is not for everyone. If you prefer the minimalist aesthetic of invisible earbuds or need something that fits easily into a tiny pocket without a bulky charging case, the over-ear design of the BT048S might feel cumbersome. It is also worth noting that while the frequency range covers the standard 20Hz to 20,000Hz spectrum for professional acoustic HiFi sound, the physical size means it may trap heat more than open-ear alternatives. It is a heavy investment in comfort and sound quality, making it ideal for the person who wants cinema-quality surround sound and zero distractions while they push their physical limits.
The Rulbovs NE72 is a specialized tool for the modern traveler, student, or business professional who needs to communicate across language barriers without missing a beat. Unlike the Xmenha, which focuses on isolating you from the world, the NE72 is designed to help you engage with it. Its core selling point is the integrated AI translation capability, supporting 165 languages with offline packs for eight major ones like English, Spanish, French, Japanese, and Chinese. This works without Wi-Fi or cellular data once the app is set up, making it invaluable in remote areas or on flights where connectivity is spotty or non-existent. The "Never Lose Your Earbuds" feature, which allows you to locate the device via a navigation app, adds a practical safety net for anyone who frequently misplaces small tech accessories.
The design philosophy here is distinctly in-ear, utilizing dynamic drivers powered by 13mm Hi-Fi units to deliver immersive sound with deep bass and crisp treble. The ENC noise cancellation technology filters out up to 90% of background noise, which helps clarify speech during calls or translations. The charging case features an LED touch screen, a rare and useful addition that lets you see exactly how much power remains without pulling out your phone. The total battery life reaches 40 hours with the case, offering 6 hours of music playback or 4.5 hours of continuous translation on a single charge. The USB-C charging time is quick at 1.5 hours, ensuring you get back in the game fast.
This device is perfect for someone who values functionality over pure audio fidelity. While the sound quality is good, the primary purpose is communication. The transparency mode implied by the ability to hear surroundings during translation makes it safer for walking in busy cities. However, if your priority is the absolute deepest bass or the longest possible uninterrupted listening session without a case, the 6-hour single-charge limit might feel restrictive compared to the massive 50-hour capacity of its competitor. It is the choice for the person who views headphones as a gateway to new conversations rather than just a portal to music.
• Best for Battery Life → Xmenha BT048S wins hands-down with 50 hours of continuous play versus 6 hours per charge on the Rulbovs NE72.
• Best for Language Translation → Rulbovs NE72 is the only option here, offering real-time AI translation in 165 languages without needing Wi-Fi.
• Best for Noise Isolation → Xmenha BT048S offers superior -54dB active noise cancellation compared to the 90% background noise filtering of the Rulbovs NE72.
• Best for Portability → Rulbovs NE72 takes up significantly less space with its in-ear design and compact case compared to the over-ear form factor of the Xmenha.
• Best for Crystal Clear Calls → Xmenha BT048S uses a 5-microphone ENC system, whereas the Rulbovs NE72 relies on standard ENC for 90% noise reduction.
• Best Value for Travelers → Rulbovs NE72 includes offline translation packs and a "find my earbuds" feature that adds immense value for international trips.
• Best for Exercise Endurance → Xmenha BT048S is better suited for long, grueling workouts due to its massive battery and secure over-ear fit.
• Best for Fast Charging → Both are efficient, but the Rulbovs NE72 charges fully in 1.5 hours, slightly faster than the 2.5 hours required for the Xmenha BT048S.
After weighing the specifications and intended use cases, I would personally buy the Xmenha BT048S for my own exercise routine. The combination of 50 hours of battery life and -54dB noise cancellation creates an environment where I can completely zone out and focus on my training without external interruptions. The over-ear design provides a sense of security and stability that is crucial when I am moving vigorously. While the Rulbovs NE72 is an impressive piece of technology for travel, its primary function as a translator means it is a secondary device for me, whereas the Xmenha serves as my primary audio source for fitness. In my opinion, the Xmenha BT048S delivers a more consistent and reliable experience for anyone looking for the best fast charging open ear earbuds for exercise, provided they prioritize sound isolation and endurance above all else.
The Xmenha BT048S is excellent for quiet activities due to its -54dB noise cancellation, creating a silent environment ideal for focus or rest, though the over-ear design might be too bulky for side sleepers. The Rulbovs NE72 is less suitable for sleeping due to the in-ear nature and potential for discomfort, despite its transparency features.
No, the Saymi App required for the Rulbovs NE72 offers free usage with no monthly fees or hidden subscription costs. It supports offline translation for eight major languages, allowing you to work without an internet connection.
The Xmenha BT048S focuses on professional acoustic HiFi sound with a frequency range of 20Hz to 20,000Hz and dynamic drivers for cinema-quality surround sound. The Rulbovs NE72 uses 13mm dynamic drivers to provide deep bass and crisp treble, optimized for voice clarity and translation accuracy rather than audiophile-grade fidelity.
For long commutes, the Xmenha BT048S is superior because of its 50-hour battery life and robust noise cancellation, which will block out train or bus noise for days without recharging. The Rulbovs NE72 requires more frequent charging due to its 6-hour single-charge limit, though its compact size makes it easier to carry in a bag.
