How We Research
We compare products from their published specs and features; the verdicts below are our independent editorial opinions.
If you want real-time AI translation in 168 languages from a touchscreen charging case, choose Xmenha AI Headphones Language; if you need all-day battery life, IP7 waterproofing and a secure fit for workouts, choose BESNOOW Earbuds.
• Xmenha's biggest strength: built-in AI translation across 168 languages, triggered by a touch on the earbud, plus a smart charging case that controls volume, EQ modes and settings without a phone.
• Xmenha's biggest trade-off: battery life is modest — around 5 hours per charge, up to 25 hours with the case — and the whole appeal is tied to the translation feature.
• BESNOOW's biggest strength: endurance and durability. Up to 8 hours per charge, up to 48 hours with the case, IP7 waterproofing and an ergonomic silicone-tipped fit at just 3.7 g per bud.
• BESNOOW's biggest trade-off: it's a conventional music-and-calls earbud. There's no translation and no touchscreen case — just solid audio, ENC call clarity and touch controls.
• Pick Xmenha if you travel, work with multilingual colleagues or study a language and want the translation tool built into the earbuds.
• Pick BESNOOW if you want a dependable everyday pair for the gym, running, commuting and long days away from a charger.
The Xmenha model (BY16) is unusual because the earbuds themselves are only half the product. The other half is the smart charging case, which carries a touchscreen you use to control earbud volume, EQ modes, time, battery level and even alarms — more than ten functions handled without opening your phone. That design choice tells you a lot about who this is built for: someone who wants quick, glanceable control and doesn't want to dig a phone out of a pocket mid-conversation.
The headline feature is translation. According to the spec sheet, touching the earbud triggers translation across 168 languages, including Spanish, Chinese, Portuguese, French, German and Japanese. The pitch is deliberately simple — a "fool operation," as the listing puts it, meaning there's very little to learn. The earbuds use a 13mm dynamic driver, CVC8.0 noise cancellation with dual HD mics, and touch controls with active noise cancellation. Bluetooth is listed as 5.3 in the specs and 5.4 in the feature bullets, with a 10-metre range; I'd treat the version number as a minor detail and the stable connection as the point. Wear time is around 5 hours, stretching to roughly 25 hours with the case, and the buds weigh 18.14 g combined in white plastic.
BESNOOW Earbuds: Who It's For
The BESNOOW I53 is a much more traditional wireless earbud, and it's a well-specced one. Bluetooth 5.4 pairs with a 15-metre range and magnetic Hall-effect auto-connect, so pulling the buds out of the case reconnects them instantly to your last device. The audio side runs a 14.2mm dynamic driver with a 20 Hz–20,000 Hz frequency range and 32-ohm impedance — a larger driver than the Xmenha's 13mm, which in practice usually means more low-end weight.
Calls get real attention here: ENC noise reduction is claimed to filter out more than 80% of external noise, with four microphones capturing your voice. Battery is the standout. Up to 8 hours of playback per charge, up to 48 hours total with the 400 mAh case, a 1.5-hour charge time and a dual LED digital display showing remaining power for both buds and case. The buds weigh just 3.7 g each, sit in silicone with S/M/L tips, and carry IP7 nano-coating for sweat and rain resistance. Touch controls cover volume, track skipping, play/pause, calls and voice assistant. It ships in Retro Green and includes a two-year manufacturer warranty.
Who should buy it? Runners, gym-goers, cyclists, commuters and anyone who hates charging. The IP7 rating and secure curved fit are made for movement. Who should skip it? Anyone who needs translation, a touchscreen case or app-free on-case controls — the I53 simply doesn't offer those, and its noise control is sound isolation rather than active noise cancellation.
• Best for translation → Xmenha AI Headphones Language. 168 languages, triggered by a touch on the bud.
• Best for battery life → BESNOOW Earbuds. Up to 8 hours per charge and up to 48 hours with the case, versus roughly 5 and 25 for the Xmenha.
• Best for phone-free control → Xmenha AI Headphones Language. The touchscreen case handles volume, EQ, time, battery and alarms on its own.
• Best for call clarity in noise → BESNOOW Earbuds. Four mics and ENC reduction filtering more than 80% of outside noise.
• Best for active noise cancellation → Xmenha AI Headphones Language. It's listed with ANC; the BESNOOW relies on sound isolation.
• Best for bigger sound hardware → BESNOOW Earbuds. A 14.2mm driver against the Xmenha's 13mm, with a stated 20 Hz–20,000 Hz range.
• Best for long-term peace of mind → BESNOOW Earbuds. A two-year manufacturer warranty is listed; the Xmenha sheet lists none.
My Verdict
In my opinion, the right buy comes down to one question: do you need translation or do you need endurance? If language is the reason you're shopping, I'd take the Xmenha AI Headphones Language — nothing in the BESNOOW's spec sheet replaces the 168-language translation or the touchscreen case. If language isn't your problem, I'd take the BESNOOW Earbuds without hesitation. Longer battery, IP7 waterproofing, four-mic ENC calls, a bigger driver and a two-year warranty make it the stronger everyday earbud. Check the current price on Amazon for both before you commit, since that's the one variable the specs can't settle for you.
Touch control means the earbud's outer surface responds to taps and swipes instead of physical buttons. Both the Xmenha and the BESNOOW use it: the Xmenha triggers translation and playback with a touch, while the BESNOOW handles volume, track skipping, calls and voice assistant.
There's no universal switch — it depends on the model and whether the brand offers a companion app. Neither the Xmenha nor the BESNOOW lists an app or a touch-lock feature in its specs, so if accidental taps bother you, check the instruction manual that ships in the box before buying.
Because touch-controlled earbuds send commands over Bluetooth to whatever device is connected — a tap can pause music, answer a call or wake a voice assistant. Both earbuds here pair with iOS and Android devices, so the controls act on the connected phone by design.
The BESNOOW is clearly ahead on both: up to 8 hours per charge and 48 hours with the case, plus IP7 sweat and rain protection. The Xmenha lists about 5 hours per charge and 25 hours with the case, with no waterproofing rating in its specs.
