If you want a complete, self-contained audio system with a built-in smart case that manages your volume and battery without touching your phone, choose Xmenha Active Noise Cancelling; if you need high-fidelity sound isolation and acoustic tuning for your existing wired or wireless earbuds, choose PENON ePro EP01.
• Xmenha Active Noise Cancelling: The standout feature is the smart charging case with a touchscreen interface that controls EQ, volume, and alarms independently of your phone; the trade-off is that it is a full TWS headset rather than an accessory, meaning you are buying an entirely new pair of buds. This pick is for the tech enthusiast who wants to minimize phone interaction during commutes or gaming.
• PENON ePro EP01: The core strength lies in its patented horn-shaped nozzle design made with graphene-doped silicone to amplify bass and clarify vocals on compatible devices; the trade-off is that these are just replacement tips, not standalone headphones, so they require you to already own a suitable IEM or earbud. This pick is for the audiophile looking to squeeze more performance out of their current gear.
• Who each is for: Xmenha fits users seeking a modern, all-in-one solution with active noise cancellation and smart features, while PENON serves those deep in the HiFi community wanting to optimize their specific driver setup.
The Xmenha Active Noise Cancelling earbuds represent a shift toward total autonomy in personal audio. What makes this product distinct is not just the sound, but the interface provided by the charging case itself. Most modern earbuds rely heavily on a companion app or physical buttons on the buds to manage settings. Xmenha breaks that mold by integrating a touchscreen directly into the carrying case. This allows you to adjust volume levels, switch between EQ modes, and monitor the exact battery percentage of both the buds and the case without ever pulling out your smartphone. You can even set alarms or check the time directly from the case screen. For anyone who finds navigating small apps on a phone screen frustrating while on the go, this level of independent control is a game-changer.
Under the hood, these earbuds utilize the latest Bluetooth 5.4 technology, which offers faster transmission speeds and a wider range compared to older generations. The specification lists a transmission distance of about 10 meters, ensuring a stable connection even when you move around your home or office. The audio engine relies on 13mm dynamic drivers featuring a graphene diaphragm, which the data suggests provides better high-frequency extension and a more powerful sound profile. Combined with CVC8.0 noise cancellation technology and dual HD microphones, the system is designed to deliver clear calls and immersive music even in noisy environments. The active noise cancelling capability ensures that you can focus on your content, whether you are commuting or trying to game.
However, this device is not for everyone. If you prefer the simplicity of passive isolation or have no interest in digital interfaces, the complexity of a touchscreen case might feel unnecessary. Furthermore, the battery life of 4 to 5 hours on a single charge is standard for true wireless earbuds, though the case extends this to a total of 24 hours. While comfortable enough for long sessions due to the ergonomic design, the primary value proposition here is the smart functionality and the active noise cancellation. If your main goal is simply to listen to music passively without any electronic interference or battery anxiety, this might be over-engineered. But for those who want a "set it and forget it" experience where the hardware does the heavy lifting, Xmenha stands out as a robust choice for daily use and gaming.

The PENON ePro EP01 is fundamentally different because it is not a headphone; it is a precision upgrade for your existing audio chain. These are replacement silicone eartips designed specifically for in-ear monitors (IEMs) and wireless earbuds that feature a nozzle diameter between 4.9mm and 7mm. The innovation here is the patented horn-shaped nozzle geometry combined with a material composition that dopes silicone with graphene. This isn't just about comfort, although the soft silicone is designed to reduce ear fatigue during extended wear. The primary purpose is acoustic engineering. By shaping the nozzle like a horn, the tips help resonate sound waves internally before they reach your ear canal, effectively amplifying the voice and enhancing the timbre of the drivers inside your headphones.
This product is ideal for users who are unhappy with the stock sound signature of their current earbuds or IEMs. Many manufacturers ship devices with generic tips that prioritize fit over acoustic fidelity. The PENON ePro EP01 aims to correct that by improving bass response and delivering crisp vocals while maintaining high-frequency clarity. Because the tips are washable and flexible, they offer durability that withstands intense workouts and daily movement. The design ensures a snug, secure fit that prevents sound leakage, which naturally improves isolation. If you already own a pair of high-quality wired IEMs or wireless buds that lack the perfect seal or sound balance, swapping in these tips can transform the listening experience without requiring a new purchase.
There are significant limitations to consider before buying these. First and foremost, they are incompatible with most standard earbuds that do not have a removable nozzle or fall within the 4.9mm to 7mm diameter range. They will not work as a standalone product; you must already possess compatible hardware. Additionally, while the description mentions improved isolation, these are passive tips. They do not offer active noise cancellation like the Xmenha option. They rely purely on the physical seal and the acoustic properties of the horn shape. If you are looking for a complete audio solution that blocks out the world electronically, these tips will not meet that need. They are strictly for enthusiasts who understand the nuances of nozzle geometry and want to fine-tune the sonic output of their specific device.

• Best for active noise cancellation → Xmenha Active Noise Cancelling, providing electronic ANC and CVC8.0 microphone noise reduction.
• Best for existing audio owners → PENON ePro EP01, allowing you to upgrade the sound of your current IEMs or wireless buds if they fit the nozzle size.
• Best for gaming latency → Xmenha Active Noise Cancelling, leveraging Bluetooth 5.4 for lower latency and stable connections, which is critical for mobile gaming.
• Best for durability and comfort → PENON ePro EP01, featuring washable, flexible silicone designed for long-term wear and secure fit during movement.
• Best value for a new user → Xmenha Active Noise Cancelling, as it delivers a complete set of hardware including the case and buds, unlike PENON which requires pre-existing equipment.
After analyzing the specifications and intended use cases, I would buy the Xmenha Active Noise Cancelling if I were shopping for a new pair of earbuds today. The combination of Bluetooth 5.4, active noise cancellation, and that unique smart case with a touchscreen creates a significantly more versatile package for modern usage. It solves the problem of fumbling with phones and apps, offering a seamless experience that feels futuristic. Specifically for gaming on my Xbox, the low-latency Bluetooth 5.4 connection and the ability to control volume and EQ instantly make it the superior choice for an immersive session. While the PENON ePro EP01 is an interesting piece of engineering for audiophiles, it is too niche to recommend as a primary purchase unless you already own perfectly compatible high-end IEMs. For a general buyer seeking the best bluetooth earbuds for xbox or the best open ear earbuds for xbox alternatives that actually function as a complete unit, the Xmenha is the logical winner.
The Xmenha Active Noise Cancelling earbuds support Bluetooth 5.4, making them a strong contender for wireless gaming, though dedicated Xbox headsets often offer lower latency via proprietary dongles. Check the latest price on Amazon to see if they fit your budget for a wireless gaming setup.
No, the PENON ePro EP01 tips are designed only for devices with a nozzle diameter between 4.9mm and 7mm. You must verify your current earbud specs before purchasing, as they will not fit standard non-IEM designs.
No, these are replacement tips only and do not produce sound on their own. They are only valuable if you already own compatible wired or wireless earbuds that benefit from the horn-shaped acoustic design.
