Create Dependent Drop down List with Data Validation

Create your Lists

First we will name the Category Range

-Select the top headers

-Select Define Name

Enter Category in the name box- then OK

Select the entire List Range

You have now created your named ranges

Create your data validation Drop Down Lists

Create the Sub-Catagory Drop Down List In I2

You now have a dependent Drop Down List using Data Validation.
