How to reach Bicocca

By Train: GRECO-PIRELLI train station is the closest: almost in front of the Department of Mathematics.

The ticket for the urban public transport is still valid inside the urban rail network (Mi1-Mi3 zone).

• From Porta Garibaldi station, which is also a metro stop of the M5 line, suburban and local trains reaching Greco-Pirelli in 6' leave every 10-15 minutes.

• From Centrale station the easiest way to get to the venue is by subway: take M3 line to Zara station, then change to M5 line.

• Suburban and local trains to Greco-Pirelli also depart from Lambrate station, Forlanini station and Rogoredo station.

By Subway: BICOCCA station of the M5 line is the closest: 5' walk far from the Department of Mathematics.

By Airplane: if you land at Malpensa Airport, the Malpensa Express train connects both terminals with Porta Garibaldi station and Centrale station - check the schedule here. Several bus services connect Linate Airport and Orio al Serio Airport with the city centre (with Centrale station as final destination).

Participants to the Convegno can take advantage of the agreement with the Bicocca University (for a limited number of rooms) under the following conditions:

€80.00 double room for single use, €100.00 double room / twin beds, €150.00 triple room (double + single or 3 singles)

Price per room per night, VAT and breakfast included, city tax excluded €5.00 per person per night. Free cancellation within 3 days before arrival. Credit card details will be requested to guarantee the reservation. The reservation can only be made by email by writing to arcimboldi@operaser.it and specifying that you want to book with this agreement

Grand Hotel Villa Torretta (2,4 km from the math department). 

Agreement for the participants to the Convegno: € 138.00 per room, per night, excluding tourist tax equal to € 4.00 per person per day.

In Monza:

Hotel Royal Falcone (a few minutes walk from Monza train station from which trains leave and arrive at Greco Pirelli station in front of the department in 10 minutes)

The current fares are:

Single room 99€, Double room (one person) 109€, Double / twin room 119€.

Rate per room, per night, including Grand Buffet breakfast, Wi-Fi Internet, VAT 10% and services. Tourist tax not included in the room price: Euro 2.50 per person, per night. Cancellations up to 1 day before (by 18:00 local time) of the arrival date will not involve any cost. Late cancellations or modifications and no-shows will be charged for the cost of the first night.
