Xi Tau Zeta Chapter History
Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated - Xi Tau Zeta Chapter was chartered on March 5, 1990, under the guidance and encouragement of Triumphant Sorors Mildred D. Stanford and Soror Geraldine Johnson, the 8th New Jersey State Director. Hearing and responding to Zeta's call to establish a chapter in Atlantic County. The charter members were Rhonda Farmer, Albretta Redd-Henry, Joyce Robertson, Vivian Farrow-Russell, Brenda Stewart, Triumphant Soror Jimmie Wallace, and Monica Wells. The chartering ceremony was held at the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Complex in Atlantic City on April 29, 1990.
Presiding over the chartering was Mary Fields, the 9th Atlantic Regional Director, under the leadership of Eunice S. Thomas, the 19th International President, and the theme "Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated: Designing New Strategies, Providing Outreach Services to Meet the Challenges of the 21st Century," Xi Tau Zeta chapter accepted the challenge and will continue to carry the torch and keep the fire of Zeta burning.
