Research Interests

Corporate Finance, Entrepreneurship, Innovation, Venture Capital, and Industrial Organization

My research agenda strives to understand the relationship between financial markets and real economic output in terms of entrepreneurship, innovation, and development. In particular, I’m interested in the changing landscape of entrepreneurial finance and the role new paradigms of funding have on decision making.

Prior to joining UCLA, I was an Assistant Professor of Finance at UNC's Kenan-Flagler Business School. I earned a Ph.D. in Finance (2017) from the UC Berkeley Haas School of Business. I also hold an B.S. in Mathematics and an B.A. in Economics (2011) from the University of Texas at Austin.
