Hello! I'm Xintong Zhang (张昕曈 in Chinese). I have strong passion in energy field for building a sustainable future. My current research focuses on characterizing fundamental thermal transport mechanisms and developing novel materials across different length scales for applications in renewable energy, thermal management, and thermoelectric devices.
I am currently a postdoctoral researcher in the Thermal Energy Group at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. I earned my Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering at University of California-San Diego (UCSD), advised by Prof. Renkun Chen. Prior to that, I received my B.S. in Vehicle Engineering from Tsinghua University in 2019.
When not in the lab, you can probably find me in a gym, on a bouldering wall, or in the mountains.
