The following account is arranged in geographical, not chronological, order. It details the journey from the west coast of the U.S. starting from the ferry dock in Anacortes, WA and ending at the beach in New Carlisle, Que. The entire trip happened in separate stages with the direction being from west to east each time. The earliest stage, from Kingston, ON to Ashfield, MA happened in 2012. The last stage is the first one in this chronicle, detailing the train ride from my home to the start in Anacortes and the ride over the Cascades and the Continental Divide ending in Havre, MT at the end of the summer in 2017.
For now, each section is being treated as it was written, independent from the others. If time permits I may try to weave them together more seamlessly and edit out some of the repetition. Suffice it to say, this is a work in progress. Hope you enjoy it.
