Bem-vindos à página do XI EMEP - Encontro Mundial sobre o Ensino de Português! (#XIEMEP), uma organização da AOTP - American Organization of Teachers of Portuguese que vai ser realizado na Harvard University nos dias 5 e 6 de agosto de 2022. O EMEP está organizado para ser híbrido (presencial e virtual), mas a AOTP vai continuar a monitorar a situação em relação à pandemia e seguirá as recomendações do CDC - Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, ou seja, caso necessário voltará ao formato digital.

Mais uma vez, o EMEP vai reunir professores de português como língua materna e não-materna de todo o mundo, para um diálogo e aprendizado colaborativo e cooperativo sobre as experiências uns dos outros, sobre inovação, projetos, materiais e novas estratégias de ensino e aprendizagem de português de grande impacto na nossa atividade.

Os palestrantes do XI EMEP terão a oportunidade de ver as suas comunicações publicadas pelo Portuguese Language Journal, depois submetidas sem identificação e serem aprovadas por pares.

Datas importantes:

15 de fevereiro: prazo para o envio de propostas

20 de março: envio da confirmação da aceitação das propostas

20 de abril: prazo para os autores aprovados se inscreverem na conferência

15 de maio: apresentação do programa

Welcome to the website of the XI EMEP - World Meeting on Teaching Portuguese! (#XIEMEP), organized by the AOTP - American Organization of Teachers of Portuguese that will take place at Harvard University on the 5 and 6 of August 2022. The EMEP is organized to be hybrid (in person and virtual), but AOTP will continue to monitor the situation in relation to the pandemic and will follow the recommendations of the CDC - Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, meaning, it will return to a virtual format if necessary.

Once again, the EMEP will bring together instructors of Portuguese as a native and non-native language from all over the world, for a collaborative and cooperative dialogue and learning about each other's experiences, about innovation, projects, materials and new strategies for teaching and learning Portuguese with significant impact in our activity.

Presenters at the XI EMEP will have the opportunity to see their communications published in the Portuguese Language Journal, after submitting their articles to a double-blind peer-review process.

Important dates:

February 15th: deadline for submitting proposals

March 20th: sending confirmation of acceptance of proposals

April 20th: deadline for approved authors to register for the conference

May 15th: program presentation
