Chenchen’s research focuses on quantifying irrigation water use and understanding its interactions with wetland system using remote sensing and geospatial AI. She received her B.Sc. in Soil and Water Conservation from Beijing Forestry University, M.Sc. in Remote Sensing and GIS from Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Ph.D. in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from the University of Oklahoma. She loves cats and dogs and enjoys cooking (not by preference, but with skill), hiking, and spending time alone.

Chi Hsiang’s research focuses on integrating remote sensing data and hydrological models to understand anthropogenic impacts on water systems. He earned his Ph.D. from Texas A&M University. His work includes generating global datasets of bathymetry and storage dynamics for more than half a million lakes and reservoirs, and he is currently generating and analyzing global land cover change. Ultimately, his work provides the foundational data needed to improve global water security and manage precious freshwater resources in a changing climate.

Junhua's research focuses on using remote sensing and machine learning to identify agricultural irrigation technologies and estimate their water use efficiencies. He holds a bachelor's degree in computer science from Beijing Forestry University and a master's degree in Remote Sensing from the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences. He enjoys reading, traveling, and exploring new things.
PhD Student
Xiaochi's research leverages geospatial data and analytical models to understand urban-agricultural land use competition. He holds a master's and bachelor's degree in human geography from Southwest University, China, and has extensive field survey experience in rural regions across China. He enjoys traveling, photography, and writing.
