I am an assistant professor of geospatial data science at the Department of Geography & Environmental Sustainability of the University of Oklahoma. Before joining OU, I was a research scientist and postdoc at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. I earned my Ph.D. degree in Geography (Geospatial Science) from Indiana State University.
The XIE (X-Scale Irrigation & Earth Observation) Lab is an interdisciplinary research group focused on advancing Earth observation–driven solutions for agricultural irrigation monitoring and water/land management. Our team integrates multi-source geospatial data (e.g., remote sensing, field surveys), AI/ML, and cloud computing to develop scalable, user-centered tools that translate geospatial data into actionable decision support.
We work closely with water resource agencies and agricultural stakeholders to support water accounting, drought resilience, and sustainable food production under increasing climate and resource constraints.
