MUSIC SAMPLE

WaveDefense is a fast-speed sci-fi rouge like game. The music is related to the theme of the game. So I choose to use electronic music for this game. Below are the three music samples from the game. I use the same major key to keep harmony.

SFX SAMPLE

As electronic music are being used for most of the scene in the game, I decided to use some clips and voice samples that are used for electronic music to create the SFX for the game. I found that it was pretty cool not only because the SFX fit the theme but also made the game more immersive.

This is an FX for dubstep music. The pitch of the sound is high so players won't miss that information. The warning sound tells players that they are in danger now.


I combined two filters to create this Bass-House-like sound. The frequency is low, so it won't be annoying when multiple enemies get killed in a short time. The sound contains a little bit of melody, so it can be considered as a stinger.



This SFX is made from two EDM FXs. The rising pitch shows that the event is positive to the player since the weapons are using energy as power, so the SFX for reloading is more like charging power for the weapon.
