In 2022, we have completed Phase II of the 84-Raspberry-Pi computer cluster. The cluster will support research at the University of the West of England (UWE) in Bristol.

In 2022, I presented my work on "PREDICTING FLEXURAL PROPERTIES OF CARBON FIBRE REINFORCED THERMOPLASTICS SHEET MOULDING COMPOUNDS" in ECCM20 conference in Laussane, Switzerland. This is based on my recent publication in the Journal of Reinforced Plastics and Composites, in collaboration with the University of Tokyo. It was funded by the Royal Society and the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS).

Workshop on Applications of Composites in Extreme Environments & CFRTP-SMC

Speakers from UK, USA, Japan and China discuss exciting topics such as sheet moulding compounds, lightning strikes, trans-laminar fracture beteen 4th and 5th July 2022.

In 2022, I had a successful grant application from the Royal Society to conduct research on “Predicting Forming and Failure of Carbon Fiber Reinforced Thermoplastics Sheet Molding Compound”. My successful grant is part of 5 bids between the UK and Japan in the Royal Society International Exchanges 2021 Cost Share (JSPS) scheme.

In 2021, we have successfully built a 21-Raspberry-Pi cluster with a budget of just £3k. The cluster will serve the students' projects at the University of the West of England (UWE) in Bristol.
