Greetings! My name is Xiao Cheng. I am currently a Ph.D. candidate in Economics at the Graduate Center, CUNY, and I joined the team of Sales, Trading and Research (STR) at Bank of China International (USA) in March 2019.
My fields of interest are Financial Economics and Applied Econometrics. My current research focuses on empirical asset pricing in international equity markets.
I used to work as a Quantitative Analyst at Fiscal Policy Institute, providing quantitative support to various projects regarding the economic standings of immigrants, refugees, and small business owners. I was also an adjunct professor at Queens College, teaching graduate and undergraduate Econometrics (Econ 382/721). Besides, I was a Graduate Teaching Assistant for Ph.D. level courses in the Economics program at the Graduate Center, CUNY. Besides the recurring lab sessions and office hours for Econometrics I, Microeconomics II and Macroeconomics II every week, I also taught summer math camp for first-year Ph.D. students at Baruch College.
