We started studying X-ray galaxies in 2010.
Our first result was Xgal sample of 1172 bright X-ray galaxies with X-ray flux larger than 1E-13 egs/s/cm^2. This sample was selected from 3XMM-DR8 catalog of X-ray sources. Xgal sample can be downloaded by clicking on Virgo cluster picture below.
The description paper of this sample is
Zadorozhna L.V., Tugay A.V., Shevchenko S.Yu., Pulatova N.G. The Xgal catalog of X-ray galaxies. 2021. Kinematics and Physics of Celestial Bodies, vol. 37, issue 3, pp. 149-157.
Description of columns is the following:
A - Right ascension of Hyperleda optical galaxy in degrees.
B - Declination of Hyperleda optical galaxy in degrees.
C -u-band apparent magnitude from Hyperleda.
D - Major semiaxis a in arcsecs. a was derived from logd25 value from Hyperleda. It can be considered as radius of circle, which contains the entire source.
E - V3K in km/s.
F - Right ascension of XMM source in degrees.
G - Declination of XMM source in degrees.
H - X-ray flux.
I - Error of X-ray flux.
J - Distance between X-ray and optical sources in arcsecs.
K - Simbad name of source.
L - Type of source.
The picture of M101 allows to download a table of galaxies with more than one X-ray source.
2. Our second sample XLEDA includes both bright and faint X-ray galaxies without detailed classification. This sample was compiled based on 4XMM-DR10 catalog. Corresponding paper was prepared for Advances in Astronomy and Space Physics.
The description of columns of XLEDA sample is the following:
A - ID number of galaxy in the sample
B - Right ascension of Hyperleda optical galaxy in degrees.
C - Declination of Hyperleda optical galaxy in degrees.
D -u-band apparent magnitude from Hyperleda.
E - Major semiaxis a in arcsecs. a was derived from logd25 value from Hyperleda. It can be considered as radius of circle, which contains the entire source.
F - cz, redshift in km/s. For z<1 this value is close to V3K, radial velocity in Cosmic Microwave Background reference frame.
G - X-ray flux in erg/s/cm^2, 0.2-12 keV band.
H - Error of X-ray flux.
I - Right ascension of XMM source in degrees.
J - Declination of XMM source in degrees.
K - Distance between X-ray and optical sources in arcsecs.
L - Simbad name of source.
M - Type of source from Hyperleda.
N - Major axis of optical galaxy in angular minutes.
O - Minor axis of optical galaxy in angular minutes.
