This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and disclose information about you when you use our mobile application, Xenic Photo Editor, developed by Eco Game Developer (hereinafter referred to as "Xenic" or the "App").
By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree to this policy, please do not use the App.
Our primary commitment to you is privacy regarding your personal photos.
We do not upload your photos to any server. All photo editing operations—applying filters, adjusting brightness, adding text or effects like the glitch effect—are performed locally on your device.
We only access the specific photo you choose to edit. Once you save the final image back to your device gallery or discard the edit, the App no longer holds access to that specific edited or unedited version within its active memory.
As the developer of the App, we do not collect, store, or share any "Personally Identifiable Information" (PII) such as your name, email address, or phone number.
3.1 No Permanent Storage Permissions Required Unlike many other photo editors, Xenic does not request permission to access your entire photo library or storage ("Read/Write External Storage" or "Read Media Images"). We respect your privacy by using the standard Android system pickers and Scoped Storage protocols.
3.2 How We Access Your Photos
Selecting a Photo: We use the native Android System Photo Picker. This allows you to select a single photo to share with the App for editing. The App only receives access to that specific file you explicitly choose, not your entire gallery.
Saving a Photo: We use Android's Scoped Storage API to save your edited image directly to your device’s "Pictures/Xenic" folder. This process is a "write-only" operation that does not require broad storage permissions.
3.3 Internet Access
Internet & Network State: These permissions are used to load Google Fonts, display advertisements (via AdMob), and receive app updates (via Firebase). We also use this connection to communicate with our configuration servers to determine ad placement strategies (e.g., deciding which screens show ads) and to manage operational settings for app functions.
While we do not collect personal data directly, we use trusted third-party service providers to help us operate, maintain, and improve the App. These third parties may collect and process certain data about your device and usage to provide their services.
Below are the third-party services we use and details on their data practices:
We use Google AdMob to display advertisements within the App. This allows us to offer the App for free.
AdMob may collect and use your device's Advertising ID (AAID), IP address, and cookies to serve personalized ads based on your interests and to measure ad performance. If you prefer not to see personalized ads, you can opt out through your device settings (e.g., Settings > Google > Ads > "Opt out of Ads Personalization" or "Delete advertising ID").

How Google uses your data: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites
We use services provided by Google Firebase to enhance app functionality and communication.
Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) & In-App Messaging: We use these services to send push notifications or display pop-up messages within the App regarding new features or updates. To deliver these messages, Firebase uses Instance IDs to identify your app installation.
Firebase Remote Config: We use this to manage app updates and feature availability (version control) without requiring an immediate store update. This service collects data such as device model, OS version, and app version to ensure compatibility.
Privacy Policy: Firebase Privacy and Security
We use Google Fonts to provide a variety of font styles for text layers within the photo editor.
To ensure the visual consistency of the App, when a font is selected, your device establishes a direct connection to Google’s servers to download the necessary font files. During this process, your IP address is transmitted to Google servers to facilitate the file download. Google states that this data is used to serve fonts efficiently and for aggregate usage statistics, and is not used for profiling or targeted advertising.
Data & Privacy Details: Google Privacy Policy
The information collected by third-party services is used for the following purposes:
To display advertisements and measure their effectiveness.
To send you technical notices, updates, and security alerts.
To ensure the App is running the latest correct version and features.
To dynamically load font assets required for editing.
We prioritize the security of your photos by design. Since our App operates locally on your device, your photos remain under your complete control and are never transferred to external servers. We utilize secure Android system protocols (such as Scoped Storage) to ensure that your images are processed safely within the protected environment of your own phone.
Our App is not intended for use by children under the age of 13 (or older in some jurisdictions). We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children.
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Thus, you are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date at the top. These changes are effective immediately after they are posted.
